SOCIOCULTURAL PROJECT “IN HANDS: CRAFTS AND POPULAR EDUCATION”

Abstract

The research addresses the results of the sociocultural project “Entre manos: Crafts and Popular Education”, which in coordination with the extension project of food sovereignty “La Rencontra” and the Network of popular educators in the Baracoa territory, is the carrier of activities that Under the conception and methodology of popular education, they constitute a methodological tool for the work of sociocultural managers, in the rescue of one of the oldest traditions in the world, popular crafts, as an unavoidable part of traditional popular culture. Special attention is given throughout the research to the socio-economic and cultural characteristics of the Mabujabo Popular Council in Baracoa.
